<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This one is pretty much a direct lift of Karen's, but as I used just one 8x6 photo, instead of two 6x4s - it looks totally different - and I arranged my cut outs differently too!</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPe9QW8QWOsLpQcnANX27vCLHC3vkV4-zuFM9jTUN5HyhweLARi11CvpG4lFoOGLdUyKGVVVt71sP79fbqAl50AjFz2f86N1fksX4UMRF_oDHdz3ZhzjsSGkU0EUnIKQCOD9tSsFgRbQA/s1600/SANY0008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjPe9QW8QWOsLpQcnANX27vCLHC3vkV4-zuFM9jTUN5HyhweLARi11CvpG4lFoOGLdUyKGVVVt71sP79fbqAl50AjFz2f86N1fksX4UMRF_oDHdz3ZhzjsSGkU0EUnIKQCOD9tSsFgRbQA/s400/SANY0008.JPG" width="398" /></span></a></div>
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The papers are scrummy Graphic 45 Kraft Reflections collection and the kit includes three sheets of patterned paper, black card for the base, and the extras this month are a Zig 2 way glue pen, a pack of earthtone foils and a length of black ribbon. The photo is another one of Anna Bowkis' from the retreat the other week - but this one just ordinary clothes rather than the boudoir ones.</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Hope you are all having a great bank holiday - despite the weather, and I will see you all next week!</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">New members are always welcome - please get in touch if you would like to come</span><br />

My page is a lift of Karen's design from the Total Papercraft kits we use, but there is no rule saying that you have to slavishly copy the pages... I will hopefully be brave enough to take up the challenge and produce my own offering in the next couple of months. To appease the prudes who thought the title of "Glamour Puss" was offensive last year, I have added a post it note to spare the sensibilities of anyone who would have a heart attack if they should get a peek at my knickers!</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This page (as well as being absolutely gorgeous) is stuffed full of techniques - the main one being using white glassine paper to make the flowers and leaves, but we will be learning how to make those lovely 3D roses, and using reinkers to dye our own tape as well.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">You will need to bring along 3 6x4 photos to make this page, two portrait and one landscape - my photos were taken by the talented <a href="http://www.annabowkisphotography.com/">Anna Bowkis</a> at the recent <a href="http://www.creativeheartandsoul.com/">Creative HeART and Soul retreat</a> I went on a couple of weeks ago in deepest Staffordshire. Anna jokingly suggested that we might like a "boudoir" photography session while we were there - and I jumped at it as its probably the last time I will feel like doing this type of shot as most of me has already started the long journey south!! I was nervous about doing it as my figure these days can politely be described as Rubenesque - but Anna did a fabulous job of disguising the lumps and bumps and gave me 8 beautiful shots to take home with me... I thought that they went brilliantly with this kit.</span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Be back soon with the single page kit - and more on the retreat - we did some absolutely gorgeous projects!</span></div>

<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Anyway - this is the page we will be making at club tomorrow night - and karen has promised that this is the last of the corrugated card for a while - thank goodness - as I don't think my poor album could stand it!</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The papers are the gorgeous bright and beautiful Magpie range from Jenni Bowlin - and it wouldn't be a Karen kit if it didn't feature lots of intricate cutting out - and yes Jill, I will be showing you how to cut out those swirls. Because its a bright page with lots of colours - just about anything goes with this one</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikXJz48vwve1yw-rT7uTBljpqn74MJh1yYXseDCfwEIJvcETt9EoPb4zPM4AQB3e3J_OzvAvcQoh1Eat3dP3HR0oITJXtL-YjjY6VY5UG-XeEo_9WsnikvE2rXHWonzVOmMY8J_rh4Byk/s1600/SANY0059.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="200" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEikXJz48vwve1yw-rT7uTBljpqn74MJh1yYXseDCfwEIJvcETt9EoPb4zPM4AQB3e3J_OzvAvcQoh1Eat3dP3HR0oITJXtL-YjjY6VY5UG-XeEo_9WsnikvE2rXHWonzVOmMY8J_rh4Byk/s400/SANY0059.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div>
<br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">And here is the optional single page kit which I don't teach as a formal class, but I do provide online or phone support to those of you who take one - I think this has to be one of my favourite pages of all time - so stylish and packed with interesting features!</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMQE4qThFu4txoUdQMt54VXb3d__oaz-cltF7k37E3TI_Arw_MEYVD1UINzYKBbpTVcC0V0KlzFFVdmv1YpMWx7zid-WjTXd7c-K5Vw1K_riQuP6EsBH8WRaO-sTkHCjpzAIGLaE_dS_Y/s1600/SANY0060.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhMQE4qThFu4txoUdQMt54VXb3d__oaz-cltF7k37E3TI_Arw_MEYVD1UINzYKBbpTVcC0V0KlzFFVdmv1YpMWx7zid-WjTXd7c-K5Vw1K_riQuP6EsBH8WRaO-sTkHCjpzAIGLaE_dS_Y/s400/SANY0060.JPG" width="391" /></span></a></div>
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Shall we say - I have learned a lesson - when you make a page with one of Karen's fabulous kits DO NOT put them in your album before taking a photograph of it... They are so loaded with product (most of it in the kit!) that they need to be trimmed down to fit in which is why I gave up and took the photo of both pages in the album - but come along and see just how dimensional they are in real life at club this week!</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Over the Bank Holiday its been to yucky to do anything outdoorsy so while my 'erberts went off to get soggy on the boat - I stayed behind with Muttley and discovered my Kaisercraft Charlotte's Dream layout kit which i bought from <a href="http://www.merlyimpressions.co.uk/">Merly Impressions</a> last month! These are fab kits put together by Kaiser themselves and are absolutely stuffed with product. They give instructions for two single pages and a double page, but as with the Tigerlily kit from March, there is loads left over once you have made the 4 pages, so I have enough bits and bobs left over for at least another 2 layouts if not more. I doesn't look as though kaiser have done one for May - but I live in hope that one will appear soon (hint! hint! Chrissy!LOL!)</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Here are my 3 pages from the kit - first up this romantic one of yours truly - I just need to add a title and some journalling to finish it off! The light is really horrible here at the moment - I haven' t really got a beard rash - honest!</span><br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br /></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjI1AQpI4067NcY7dyzppsL6Lp_mZOIN_Ey8MEvJj-qV2s1HCEerlHPpBIvhcnCBygYPC9ZKgoY1W_C3WI22E26cJ13ItlRVC3pognHnm6oikClT_p_p7isChBSGWAqYYcCidNjfR2tA1Y/s1600/SANY0062.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="398" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjI1AQpI4067NcY7dyzppsL6Lp_mZOIN_Ey8MEvJj-qV2s1HCEerlHPpBIvhcnCBygYPC9ZKgoY1W_C3WI22E26cJ13ItlRVC3pognHnm6oikClT_p_p7isChBSGWAqYYcCidNjfR2tA1Y/s400/SANY0062.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<br />
<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Here's the second page - a lovely romantic one - and you can see just how much stuff you get in one of those "Collectibles" packs of die cuts.....</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Last weekend - I packed my passport and craft stuff and headed over the Dartford Crossing into darkest Essex, to Karen's "Creativity Escape at Debden House in Epping Forest. Debden is a local authority run conference centre, and whilst its not the poshest venue I have ever been to for a scrapping weekend, the accommodation is clean and comfortable, the food is good and the crop room is a great size and well lit for crafters. I can honestly say that I had an absolutely wonderful time from the moment I arrived on Friday afternoon until the moment I drove away after a great roast lunch on Sunday.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">We had a total of 5 masterclasses over the weekend, one project and four gorgeous (as always) layouts... and all the ladies who attended were an absolute hoot! We had two rookie scrappers with us, and by the end they were totally converted and already talking about coming back for the September retreat. I don't think I have laughed so much for a long time.... one reason being Jane Errington Taylor bursting into the "I love the way you mooooove!" advert every few minutes and Karen and her Essex ladies serenading us with "Everybody loves Amanda Lamb!" every now and again.... crazy and noisy and a real fun time!</span><br />
<br />

</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now - on to the projects (all of the photos on here were taken by me but they are Karen's samples (I haven't finished mine yet - still got some bits n' bobs to come from eBay for the box)</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Our first one on Friday evening was this gorgeous Tim Holtz box</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6wWgyPCSrXdvoNABYZppCK-Ex-LmbUWmfCa6jEyCs1xDiFX4lDxJ0ph89EBy72i1-7Z7rqCdR1c5n0vWI5JvvWHh4R7zn-gs_b5ChyphenhyphenQD-2SfeF9NpIrVxMoB4Lk_96ZUeeX4Kpa4Dmnc/s1600/SANY0001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" dea="true" height="266" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6wWgyPCSrXdvoNABYZppCK-Ex-LmbUWmfCa6jEyCs1xDiFX4lDxJ0ph89EBy72i1-7Z7rqCdR1c5n0vWI5JvvWHh4R7zn-gs_b5ChyphenhyphenQD-2SfeF9NpIrVxMoB4Lk_96ZUeeX4Kpa4Dmnc/s400/SANY0001.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Its one of the compendiums, but Karen very cleverly transformed the lid into another box and we hinged both pieces to make a "book" and spread the boxes between the two halves (some of the spaces are just that - spaces). The technique on this one was decoupaging with beeswax - and while it was errrrmmmmm interesting.... I think I'll stick to good ol' Mod Podge for future projects like this. we made our own tissue tape using stamps and masking tape and our kits contained lots of bits n' pieces to fill the boxes with.... the photo really doesn't do it justice - its one of those things you have to see in real life!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now - remember i said there were 4 layouts? I love doing Karen's classes because her style is so different to my own clean and simple one. Normally when i try to load a page like this it ends up more shabby and sh1t than shabby chic...... so I love seeing my pics on pages like these!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">ALL the pages were lovely but I think this is my favourite one - its so romantic with those gorgeous roses ..... and the rub ons ..... and the stamp..... all of these (bar the roses) are from the Kaisercraft "Sweet Nothings" range which came out in January - truly beautiful!</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-qxvQB1JbuaJ47OBO8gYcPBotJQfwtiJFX55GLYIKD16ayuzqtx33MHQ6FpuUKpKWHcbEzfVjrk_3d6xgNy19Nc7GW9AgqyG_pOzT8y_eK8GhXPzl68K6FZnrcQC2l6EXdt4ULBO2B8w/s1600/SANY0012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" dea="true" height="377" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-qxvQB1JbuaJ47OBO8gYcPBotJQfwtiJFX55GLYIKD16ayuzqtx33MHQ6FpuUKpKWHcbEzfVjrk_3d6xgNy19Nc7GW9AgqyG_pOzT8y_eK8GhXPzl68K6FZnrcQC2l6EXdt4ULBO2B8w/s400/SANY0012.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The next one featured the Tim Holtz glassine papers which we coloured, embossed and die cut to make flowers and leaves. The papers here were Simple Stories "Documented" dark brown/ black and cream (with just a touch of red!) and they are right up my street!</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheDHvS1KnKGymxZky9qlUOW0baZPg_0gIEyMmBvdIPlZO7Xr0QXMKowMga2dMgHQWePHinqBh8gjMZn-CKUqyqT50gCjYBFetp6CGnHBx8nI6zUE-Sc6PNCDQYa6ue5mLdWXo3WdN9DM4/s1600/SANY0014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" dea="true" height="398" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEheDHvS1KnKGymxZky9qlUOW0baZPg_0gIEyMmBvdIPlZO7Xr0QXMKowMga2dMgHQWePHinqBh8gjMZn-CKUqyqT50gCjYBFetp6CGnHBx8nI6zUE-Sc6PNCDQYa6ue5mLdWXo3WdN9DM4/s400/SANY0014.JPG" width="400" /></span></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Next was this lovely page featuring Graphic 45 papers, and chipboard - this isn't a very good photo - but once i have decided which school photo I'm going to use on mine - I will take a better one...... this is what comes of trying to take photographs when you have consumed the majority of a winebox on Saturday night!</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiibix6G3l1FQnI_oFcHrC2aU0TRP_RYsSw3anOC0EUXEdn5aITzP5MxN7rf-JJUaz4Pm4cFZ0iNaTK6Kx6SyXzG0y5udlTdQoiHszZi09GV-DDqEjOx1XRlo5HrsXiZ8opSqBG-XoMwAE/s1600/SANY0013.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" dea="true" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiibix6G3l1FQnI_oFcHrC2aU0TRP_RYsSw3anOC0EUXEdn5aITzP5MxN7rf-JJUaz4Pm4cFZ0iNaTK6Kx6SyXzG0y5udlTdQoiHszZi09GV-DDqEjOx1XRlo5HrsXiZ8opSqBG-XoMwAE/s400/SANY0013.JPG" width="383" /></span></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This was the last of the pages - and featured lots of messy preparation of the base page using gesso and masks and shimmer sprays and distress stains.... generally everything to do with getting inky! </span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPXk_AOnoIKcuGo4GsEXbIlE8hOctwGF6Ofe874WW5XwduPLIOBlLWwQxy8kO5815Dq7lIOq1Nr7WSWF6ThEFs7IMyKQL9RS98AKl0VfTVi8BKuWGn13hbuOcOz0HDrrJZ3abUNDQaERo/s1600/SANY0018.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" dea="true" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPXk_AOnoIKcuGo4GsEXbIlE8hOctwGF6Ofe874WW5XwduPLIOBlLWwQxy8kO5815Dq7lIOq1Nr7WSWF6ThEFs7IMyKQL9RS98AKl0VfTVi8BKuWGn13hbuOcOz0HDrrJZ3abUNDQaERo/s400/SANY0018.JPG" width="383" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">And finally - one of me with our lovely hostess/ organiser/ designer/ all round Martha Stewart.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

I needed a white pen for the double layout!!!!!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Anyway - as I am a sailing widow this weekend... I settled down to make the pages this morning and as a couple of folk have asked to see them on Facebook, I thought I would blog them for everyone to see.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now before I do.... let's get a few things off my chest from the last year or so.... firstly - these are MY Layouts - done for me - so I will scrap what I ruddy well want to, And if I want to scrap the same photo 10 different ways - I will (not that I have ever done that many though!)! Secondly, If I put a title on one of my pages, that title means something (usually a lot!) to me, and if I put a page up here (on MY blog!) to share, I have already censored it and I don't think that there is anything in either the page itself or the title that will offend anyone. </span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">However, if anything on the pages I share does happen to offend you, sorry - but that is YOUR problem - not mine! That said - if you are offended in any way, please talk to me directly - and don't send anonymous messages via third parties. If you think it's that bad, talk to me yourself instead of upsetting me about a layout I loved - the person(s) concerned probably know what I am talking about!!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Aaaaaandddd Breathe!!!!!!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">OK - on to the layouts I have just made. As I said - the kit was from Merly Impressions and this one was a huge £21... but I have 4 pages to show - and loads and loads of leftovers so with a couple of sheets of card as bases - there's probably enough left to make as many again - so I think its great value! All pages were designed by Melissa Kennedy, the owner of Kaiser... I think she's done a grand job!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The first single page (and yes - its using photos from my vow renewal again as are the other two pages as well so Pffftttt if you are bored with them I have over 300 photos of the event and I will get round to getting them ALL on pages in time - and i have around 250 to go!!) This one uses a lot of the elements from the sticker sheet - as well as from the big bag of "Collectibles" which contains flourishes, flowers, tags, journalling blocks, photo corners and words all matching the papers beautifully</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkJ8gX6JgzIfN9jxM7PXeVzP1dgFrnKBELtgDuVZVYhbmQLmJFcFhkx3sjzD1ZTPBi9YwP2p9fosnVMIzFNwMWgW3-msVMJXyVKNyEGoC7hgwBo2px4lszM9jeZcSwVck2egh-HEQZ8VQ/s1600/tigerlily1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="393" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkJ8gX6JgzIfN9jxM7PXeVzP1dgFrnKBELtgDuVZVYhbmQLmJFcFhkx3sjzD1ZTPBi9YwP2p9fosnVMIzFNwMWgW3-msVMJXyVKNyEGoC7hgwBo2px4lszM9jeZcSwVck2egh-HEQZ8VQ/s400/tigerlily1.JPG" width="400" yda="true" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The second single page moved on to the the rub ons and pearl swirls included in the kit - and whilst I've used all the pearl swirl and most of the rub ons - there is still LOADS left in the collectibles and patterned papers.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaME9UjZk6LmVwTuxNupAqDyoUDoi9o0dT_9Vk8TQZ7kDKP2PFEVQRlYpMvLfyRlFFJCm-Vyrx_72oEDSdyS5ihe0Fw8xpoQJgaFG5u3vsNmgXeJ54_Wid0QQNVAarrYNi27PpVLOyWz0/s1600/SANY0004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="398" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgaME9UjZk6LmVwTuxNupAqDyoUDoi9o0dT_9Vk8TQZ7kDKP2PFEVQRlYpMvLfyRlFFJCm-Vyrx_72oEDSdyS5ihe0Fw8xpoQJgaFG5u3vsNmgXeJ54_Wid0QQNVAarrYNi27PpVLOyWz0/s400/SANY0004.JPG" width="400" yda="true" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">And finally to the double page which definitely takes me out of my single page single photo comfort zone.... here's a double with no less than SIX photos on it!! Oh and the Picket Fence marker was used for the snail trails of thebutterflies..... its a bit disconcerting as the ink for the white pen goes on clear - and takes a couple of seconds to dry white!!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

<br />
As of the 1st April 2012, I will no longer have any connection to Scrapaholix, apart from maybe being a member of Lizzie's club in Tonbridge. If anyone has any queries about starting their own Scrapaholix club, wants a kit subscription, a grab box of past kits or details of upcoming retreats, please contact Sarah on <a href="mailto:Scrapaholix@mac.com">Scrapaholix@mac.com</a>.<br />
<br />
Its been a fun ride - but all things come to an end, and when you gotta go - you gotta go so this is my swansong.<br />
<br />
So with that out of the way - I'm returning to being a hobby scrapper who dabbles in SU goodies on the side, so keep watching this blog and my SU one for what I get up to with my layouts!CarolynUKhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14172060215480735608noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3922313342882497568.post-68335510346813614162011-06-29T19:12:00.000+01:002011-06-29T19:12:24.666+01:00Samantha Moore Silversmith!<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">For those of you who don't know..... when my little brother married the lovely Lyn (she's far too good for him by the way!) 15 years ago - Beryl and I acquired a new nephew and niece.</span><br />

This one is based on an antique piece Beryl was given by one of Mum's neighbours in Belfast on her wedding day - but alas it got lost in all the house moves since. Nigel and Karen described it to Sammy - and here is her take on it - a beautiful locket with a raised letter B inset with pearls (Beryl's birth stone!)</span><br />

Oh well - as I did - here is another project I made using the stash I acquired back then.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is the gorgeous new trinket chest that Kaiser brought out in June, and I have decorated it with one of the other brand new offerings - the Velvet Ensemble paper collection. This is actually just both sides of one of the sheets (Matinee) - I used the patterned side on the drawer fronts, and the plain side on the side and interior of the lift up section at the top, and the sides of the chest.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKQguMgZZ_1ijW4kcO_pP97cHLpuzsXUdeeQf0txPFnEXG49H3Df07_APShCbY1OxxffYWBmEMP_ZFmHwM7zLlzbVBl3CgTDt1kVq8sJIqffe6vWxgQUuQvxEL097Raycr2wn4MNcnml0/s1600/SANY0015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="375" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKQguMgZZ_1ijW4kcO_pP97cHLpuzsXUdeeQf0txPFnEXG49H3Df07_APShCbY1OxxffYWBmEMP_ZFmHwM7zLlzbVBl3CgTDt1kVq8sJIqffe6vWxgQUuQvxEL097Raycr2wn4MNcnml0/s400/SANY0015.JPG" t8="true" width="400" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I painted the chest with cream acrylic paint, and bashed the edges of the chest and the drawers and all the papers with a dewdrop inkpad (Gingerbread) before going mad with the decorating.</span></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQJ6fP2YqgacrxKuTDfNqC-hy-PFlyAe2xZPMKBRtuUlEaglBzZ46s_RxUAbXwCM1XI-uCeLQwJyLEYcHIeLA8cWkiw7ERikDOirgzZm6kuj7nNJ5xJnC5-M3P2QIqZzyXm7zmBuGyGKg/s1600/SANY0016.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="285" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiQJ6fP2YqgacrxKuTDfNqC-hy-PFlyAe2xZPMKBRtuUlEaglBzZ46s_RxUAbXwCM1XI-uCeLQwJyLEYcHIeLA8cWkiw7ERikDOirgzZm6kuj7nNJ5xJnC5-M3P2QIqZzyXm7zmBuGyGKg/s400/SANY0016.JPG" t8="true" width="400" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">For the top - I used some of the elements from the Stage Show sheet on both the top and inner lid. For the top I used the plain cream one, finished off with a piece of the keyboard sticker from the sticker sheet on the front edge before adding a piece of a black pearl swirl and some of the lush roses. The problem with this little chest is that with the lift up lid and the nearly half inch high lip at the back, any embellishments on the lid have to be towards the front to allow the lid to open properly!</span></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRPtkumzuKQRr1GEQVuwCR0eiCKMW1qyr4HiFpQE8vjy7ohRmcYVcnBUBdXrbltyho7pxycm6rl9nu_vkAvic2o0NtfmnsvX_6D39Zqp8LNmV-MYYbzPKAtQiDQoudS9JKI8C0yK0hvHg/s1600/SANY0018.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRPtkumzuKQRr1GEQVuwCR0eiCKMW1qyr4HiFpQE8vjy7ohRmcYVcnBUBdXrbltyho7pxycm6rl9nu_vkAvic2o0NtfmnsvX_6D39Zqp8LNmV-MYYbzPKAtQiDQoudS9JKI8C0yK0hvHg/s400/SANY0018.JPG" t8="true" width="323" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I did the sides with the plain red side of the Matinee paper, and again finished off the bottom edges with a piece of the keyboard sticker. And on one side I added this beautiful wooden dress form flourish. I left it plain as the natural wood finish went perfectlly with the vintage look of this piece.</span></div><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9M_BuiKJAaRIlaK6ufxR6Kp4sOcsxkydstzUi-FABWUQsJNbrs9kRT-FxFBGtLUs4JEKzs7RWLT0_VMe59IJfVjoK63gN-qq_pZbD6SrrMgTKVaglpq4YiJ0G6S8uRUuI4Ka_SKH0U2c/s1600/SANY0017.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="300" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9M_BuiKJAaRIlaK6ufxR6Kp4sOcsxkydstzUi-FABWUQsJNbrs9kRT-FxFBGtLUs4JEKzs7RWLT0_VMe59IJfVjoK63gN-qq_pZbD6SrrMgTKVaglpq4YiJ0G6S8uRUuI4Ka_SKH0U2c/s400/SANY0017.JPG" t8="true" width="400" /></span></a></div><div align="left"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">When i lifted the top up - I thought that the inside of this section needed a bit of embellishment so I put in another element from Stage Show in the underside of the lid, and a rectangle of Matinee in the bottom.</span></div><div align="left"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgjtI7TBqy9fIN8WuK537o5AsbXDewFgBLIV1B_dCurBn2_IWQekTWwc4PFtcIFTwCayOKYbB2Y4drDA7cB3Wf4N36gHZxr7RpNqxJ_71pJ2338MZPmg_cVugy9k0xlYiGd-Ry_nOEG8I/s1600/SANY0015.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="375" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgjtI7TBqy9fIN8WuK537o5AsbXDewFgBLIV1B_dCurBn2_IWQekTWwc4PFtcIFTwCayOKYbB2Y4drDA7cB3Wf4N36gHZxr7RpNqxJ_71pJ2338MZPmg_cVugy9k0xlYiGd-Ry_nOEG8I/s400/SANY0015.JPG" t8="true" width="400" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Finally I embellished the front of the drawers with more flowers and bits I had chopped off the pearl swirl used on the top. The pearls around the top edges of the drawers are long strips and I simply curved them around the finger holes.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I hope you like this one - now off to do some layouts with the rest of my Chapter One and Velvet Ensemble papers!</span></div><div align="left"></div>CarolynUKhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14172060215480735608noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3922313342882497568.post-65775332438255038892011-05-24T13:55:00.003+01:002011-05-24T14:07:31.111+01:00More Kaiser lushness<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Well I couldn't resist all my gorgeous new stash for very long - and I spent yesterday putting together and painting my new <a href="http://www.merlyimpressions.co.uk/beyond-the-page/2257-beyond-the-page-storage-unit.html">Kaiser storage chest</a>, and this morning I decorated it.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Although I had seen Chrissy's gorgeous version on Sunday, I had already decided to use the same paper she did (Chapter 1 Motivate) as the main decoration for the drawers before she brought hers in - so while there are similarities - there are some differences as well.... </span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><br />
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"></span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhi2dc5MbrU894QNBFqZhWSKihFuK5NHGsWGLUE27OxlL8KA8jrvxaVN2duE63L2ypsgTycsx7aPzjvRukbhCNpFJJRCyBV-4jvf5nfHyL0GIuYLLsE-GzeoudKy2DcSMXuHMtECCFInO4/s1600/chest1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="372" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhi2dc5MbrU894QNBFqZhWSKihFuK5NHGsWGLUE27OxlL8KA8jrvxaVN2duE63L2ypsgTycsx7aPzjvRukbhCNpFJJRCyBV-4jvf5nfHyL0GIuYLLsE-GzeoudKy2DcSMXuHMtECCFInO4/s400/chest1.JPG" t8="true" width="400" /></span></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I started by putting together the chest first and then painting it ( I found that if you paint first the wood seems to swell a bit - and what went together easily in its raw version, requires a bit of brute force when it's been painted) with Kaisercolour acrylic paint in black. I assembled the drawers using Sarah's method of using Glossy Accents up the seams and holding it for a minute or so until it grabbed hold, as I didn't want to cover the backs and sides of the drawers. They were then painted black as well.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3O9szH7CVyyIYm0HZnTF807izUgDYdbKy_Iaqye2e0Lxk_B5QVP-l_W1B3q6xnoKRedMQcRJXHwvsRIHYMjo60e0l9yGlxrahlhI9Cm-4rlIgF5a0Ed6io8JECtZCf8xoa4XNkEpoXOw/s1600/chest2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="297" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3O9szH7CVyyIYm0HZnTF807izUgDYdbKy_Iaqye2e0Lxk_B5QVP-l_W1B3q6xnoKRedMQcRJXHwvsRIHYMjo60e0l9yGlxrahlhI9Cm-4rlIgF5a0Ed6io8JECtZCf8xoa4XNkEpoXOw/s400/chest2.JPG" t8="true" width="400" /></span></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I used the absolutely gorgeous <a href="http://www.merlyimpressions.co.uk/255-chapter-one-collection">Chapter One papers</a> for this one - I must admit that the cool blues and greens on white with black accents are right up my street (almost as much as my favourite red black and white!) - and by sheer coincidence - just happen to match my bedroom and I needed some new storage for my bling!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The main sheet was the <a href="http://www.merlyimpressions.co.uk/scrapbook-papers/2573-motivate-chapter-one-collection.html">Motivate paper</a> which is just the right size for covering the three drawer fronts and the top of the chest (the only bit of waste from this sheet was a tiny strip the height of the 3 drawers and 1/4" wide). I used the equally lovely <a href="http://www.merlyimpressions.co.uk/scrapbook-papers/2576-flourish-chapter-one-collection.html">Flourish paper</a> on the sides, although I did cut it carefully to ensure I got the patterned sections.</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7Gga9Lg71nP-1peocrmmXY6k169DBW6anI5LJlDKpcLlLzMWLWCCeYWuX0mRnZz5Q3GLLrtcDCQqZ4OG84tpM-FEs6Cz_5SpGr-E_lu2CHbsjUDMa7zbZJY-uFyEFqz9C6bgKMlx0-Dw/s1600/chest3.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="263" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg7Gga9Lg71nP-1peocrmmXY6k169DBW6anI5LJlDKpcLlLzMWLWCCeYWuX0mRnZz5Q3GLLrtcDCQqZ4OG84tpM-FEs6Cz_5SpGr-E_lu2CHbsjUDMa7zbZJY-uFyEFqz9C6bgKMlx0-Dw/s400/chest3.JPG" t8="true" width="400" /></span></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Once I had the drawers covered, I bashed the edges with a black inkpad to soften them and blend them into the black sides, and I inked the top piece before I stuck it down. As you can see from the abundance of <a href="http://www.merlyimpressions.co.uk/flowers/2109-paper-blooms-olive-883416026334.html">blooms</a>, (link takes you to the olive ones but i used the sea breeze version too!) <a href="http://www.merlyimpressions.co.uk/43-wood-flourishes">wood flourishes</a> and <a href="http://www.merlyimpressions.co.uk/14-rhinestones">crystal swirls</a>, a lot of Merly's stock found its way into my pizza box over the weekend, although I had a few green crystals left from making the retreat samples so I did use them as flower centres on the paper daisies.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Since the 17th January - South Eastern Water have had the road closed signs up between Horsmonden and Brenchley and have made life hell for the villagers, through traffic, the buses and commuters...</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Ever since this.....</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr_qKFPhqDbshWgsunqgTdVqepHNUmqBxcpbZrmCKWI9kpD5814_K0yzzrau3ccDd26jMhIjA7E70ph1Fuwuh3_bQyehtNF8w1EsIcDLDP2H63jxQkUt0-g5gXAXJVvONMXOeXOD0Ew_M/s1600/Road%252520Closed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;"><img border="0" height="278" r6="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr_qKFPhqDbshWgsunqgTdVqepHNUmqBxcpbZrmCKWI9kpD5814_K0yzzrau3ccDd26jMhIjA7E70ph1Fuwuh3_bQyehtNF8w1EsIcDLDP2H63jxQkUt0-g5gXAXJVvONMXOeXOD0Ew_M/s400/Road%252520Closed.jpg" width="400" /></span></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">horrendous thing appeared we have either had to take a ridiculously long detour round the A21 (about 10 miles if you don't know the local rat runs..) or in my case take my life in my hands down a very narrow lane which in places is barely wide enough for one car (even when that car is a Smartie!) To say that there is very muddy evidence in the verges of Furnace Lane of the fact that more than one car had to take evasive action would be an understatement...</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Anyway - they told us (with only a week's warning) that the road would be closed for 10 weeks while they did what they needed to do - but they have managed to complete it with two weeks to spare.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Having come along there yesterday - there is precious little evidence of whatever it was they were doing for two solid months - but the road surface bears the signs of far too much heavy equipment trundling up and down. The roads round here are a nightmare after cold weather anyway with some real axle -breaking potholes and shattered edges - so this is just what we didn't need!!!</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Off to write a letter of complaint to the Council - suggesting that they get Southern Water to pay for the repairs to the carriageway.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">However - I rejoice in the fact that the road is at least open again....</span>CarolynUKhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14172060215480735608noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3922313342882497568.post-69067553915448618032010-12-16T10:11:00.000+00:002010-12-16T10:11:43.523+00:00How to make the Christmas Tree advent calendar!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuV0IKaMvK1TaLg-WlMfxkv1vwjM37zsOwyLLlQqqomoF0GWaR6qRQlV6spP0OFVlC9KdOyNFu06uTvPQ15Qgdq18skPCKWLSD9arWlM4umHbB6E-plGlM5ch7tTd6B9oiSKp4qyn_cS8/s1600/DSCF0887.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhuV0IKaMvK1TaLg-WlMfxkv1vwjM37zsOwyLLlQqqomoF0GWaR6qRQlV6spP0OFVlC9KdOyNFu06uTvPQ15Qgdq18skPCKWLSD9arWlM4umHbB6E-plGlM5ch7tTd6B9oiSKp4qyn_cS8/s400/DSCF0887.JPG" width="300" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div>As a result of the mystery kit challenge on UKS I have had several requests for instructions on how to make the Christmas Tree Advent Calendar I entered so here goes......<br />
<br />
Fisrt of all - you need to make and decorate the twist boxes (all 25 of them!). I used a Stampin' Up! die to make mine, but a template to make them can be found <a href="http://www.stampinup.com/us/documents/twist_box.pdf">HERE</a>. I was limited in the challenge to just using black and white cardstock, paint and ink, but feel free to make them up in colours of your choice. I made 13 black ones and 12 white ones and decorated the middle section with patterned papers from the kit. Its best to add the paper before folding and sticking! Don't add too much extra embellishment around the middle section as these need to fit quite tightly into the shelves on the tree<br />
<br />
(NB You need 25 boxes to make the base and the triangle shape)<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCHmKMS7wBPwOIUofCAGYJWLzEiOyhenc8AsWZuYdbAA6NkKajuSyULyoOm8OlxBPYXybZ5WWlQIGE7re_rkq3z_wycQ8J_TrXcfKpJO0-U-6AX8qzajXcFqqir1EuOxHbNMGZCq02mJQ/s1600/DSCF0885.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjCHmKMS7wBPwOIUofCAGYJWLzEiOyhenc8AsWZuYdbAA6NkKajuSyULyoOm8OlxBPYXybZ5WWlQIGE7re_rkq3z_wycQ8J_TrXcfKpJO0-U-6AX8qzajXcFqqir1EuOxHbNMGZCq02mJQ/s320/DSCF0885.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
Use punches to make numbered tags to match the boxes using the papers and card (I used Safmat to print the numbers) and attach to one end of the twist box. Open the other end, insert gift and close up.<br />
<br />
Set aside 4 boxes to use in the "pot" of the tree and lay out the remaining 21 in a triangle with 6 on the bottom layer, 5 on the next and so on up to 1 in the top layer measure each layer and add a bit extra to each to allow for the triangle slope. I advise you to measure your boxes before starting the frame as they will vary slightly in size - and you don't want to make the tree frame too small!<br />
<br />
I used the pizza box the kit came in to make my frame, but you can use mountboard for a more polished result. If using the pizza box, be careful how you cut it up. For the sides and "shelves", you want the corrugations to run the length of the cardboard piece for rigidity. the pot strip can be cut either way, but if you want the frame to be free standing when empty, you need to have it cut lengthways too!<br />
<br />
My card pieces were cut as follows (and this gave a fairly tight result) - all strips are 2 1/2" wide<br />
<br />
2 side pieces @13"<br />
1 base piece @ 11 1/4"<br />
shelves@ 3 1/2", 5 1/4", 7", 8 1/4" and 9 1/2"<br />
pot frame @ 13"<br />
<br />
Paint the cardboard pieces using acrylic paint in the colour of your choice and set aside to dry completely before spritzing with mica mist or glimmer mist. if using patterned papers on the sloping sides, add them at this stage<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJ64V4mrQCk8yZTNSi7n3_xiGiyCSSSy46IyTmwiHaUXci_7dijBHwaVULI5YPmy-OtUkWUSwMVf63zTmvtCSpTwbHoB9O_WpP2_QMA4DQxdBEdLfAVIWJ51OozaLs3n-iKI7u3dklTnE/s1600/DSCN0327.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; cssfloat: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" n4="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgJ64V4mrQCk8yZTNSi7n3_xiGiyCSSSy46IyTmwiHaUXci_7dijBHwaVULI5YPmy-OtUkWUSwMVf63zTmvtCSpTwbHoB9O_WpP2_QMA4DQxdBEdLfAVIWJ51OozaLs3n-iKI7u3dklTnE/s640/DSCN0327.JPG" width="480" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Cut a lot of cardstock pieces which match the painted cardstock, 2 1/2" long by 1" wide and fold in half lengthways - these are for the shelf supports. I used my ATG gun to assemble the tree but strong double sided tape would also work - you need a strong DRY adhesive for this!<br />
<br />
Start by hinging the two side pieces together at the top (all hinges should be on the INSIDE of the frame) and then add the base at one side only. Starting from the bottom of each side, mark light pencil lines across the strips at 1 3/4" intervals to show where you need to attach the shelves.<br />
<br />
Add hinges to both top and bottom of each end of the shelves, but leave the free edges free of glue until you are ready to insert them. I started with the top shelf and matched the upper side of the shelf to the pencil line. Ensure you have a strong join by using a bone folder to press the hinges firmly onto the sides. Add each shelf in size order and finish up by joining the free side to the base. Cut a piece of white card 2 1/2" x 4", tear or punch the short edges, fold in half and glue this over the apex to hide any mess, and likewise over the bottom corners if need be.<br />
<br />
For the base, fold the base strip in to 4(fold in half then bend each leg back on itself so you have a W shape), open up and fold into a square and secure with a hinge. Use a really strong glue or tape to attach this square centrally to the base of your triangle. I put the boxes for the 22nd to the 25th in the base to ensure the tree stayed standing for the duration but the others should be popped in randomly with 1 box on the top shelf and 6 on the bottom.<br />
<br />
Finally finish off the tree with extra embellishments of your choice. The large snowflakes on mine were the TANDO chipboard snowflakes inked with SU white craft ink and embellished with Kaisercraft rhinestones, and snowflakes punched from mica misted white cardstock finished off with a rhinestone centre.<br />
<br />
Thanks for looking and good luck with making your versions!CarolynUKhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14172060215480735608noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3922313342882497568.post-84274318297511141612010-11-20T17:58:00.000+00:002010-11-20T17:58:45.673+00:00I've finally been published - sort of!!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Well after all of these years scrapping - I've finally seen my work "published"! </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Its not published in a book or magazine, but in something completely new and different - an iPhone app for scrapbookers called <a href="http://www.sketches2scrapbook.com/">Sketches 2 Scrapbook!</a> (the link takes you to the website for more details!!) </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The app is the brainchild of the very talented Anam Stubbington (known as Kihaku on forums and the internet) and what it is, is an app with no less than 104 sketches for scrapbook pages which you can access on your ipad or iphone so if you are stuck for ideas at a crop - alll you do is open the app and flick through the sketches - and there you go - no need to remember to take along your books or mags - its all there on your phone! Singles, doubles, multi photo - you can find examples of them all on the app!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">and it opens a larger version on the screen for you - like this.....</span></div><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHvBdW9Zhj0VhX6bmPVlnQM4vzLpMoA88cibcJOZucS5JWi1bcsMAlK0PFjxtelVtjnB0zqSJx6U9lUqF0rW7XHAmVOec4CSsHwDARAleLv8aAr9IUpLC7g45J1nsUm8toIK1zbNxStiQ/s1600/Sketches2Scrapbook_01.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="213" ox="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHvBdW9Zhj0VhX6bmPVlnQM4vzLpMoA88cibcJOZucS5JWi1bcsMAlK0PFjxtelVtjnB0zqSJx6U9lUqF0rW7XHAmVOec4CSsHwDARAleLv8aAr9IUpLC7g45J1nsUm8toIK1zbNxStiQ/s320/Sketches2Scrapbook_01.PNG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">But best of all - once you have the sketch up on the phone screen - tap it again to be taken to a picture of a layout made using the sketch you are looking at. Here are some sample pages for you to look at!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><br />

</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The app itself contains a whopping 104 sketches and accompanying layouts - and is available to <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/sketches-2-scrapbook/id404025304?mt=8">download on iTunes </a>for the very reasonable amount of $4.99 but if you want to have a play before you buy - there is a <a href="http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/sketches-2-scrapbook-free/id404021445?mt=8">demo version</a> available for free. The demo version has a further 12 sketches so thats a total of 116 uniq<span style="font-family: Times New Roman;">u</span>e sketches for you to use!! Pretty good value for less than a magazine would cost you with a lot more to see (and no adverts!!)</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

W<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">ell I'm having a nice time with Katy around after all - and I've set up a scrapping station at one end of the dining room table to get on with the mountain of kits sitting in my stash and trying to get some of the vow renewal pictures scrapped!</span> <br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">So - here we go with some pages made using my Total Papercrafts monthly kits, and some kits from the recent Kent crop day.</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Here is the first one I made - a lovely bright page designed by Karen which will remind me of the gorgeous island where we renewed our vows - I don't know what it is about the Caribbean but all the colours are so much more vivid be it flowers, the sea, the birds and even the gaily painted houses. I think its all down to the non-stop sunshine myself! Anyway there's a secret hiding on this page - see that blue button below the photo? </span><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial;">out pop two photos of us all being silly while waiting for the paperwork and some photos to be downloaded to disc for us - I must say that going for a paddle in the lovely warm sea while hitching up a full length wedding dress and juggling a bouquet is one thing I'll remember for a while....</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Next up was this rather stunning dark background page, also by Karen - I think it Bo Bunny's Mama Razzi papers but I love it and it sets off the photo beautifully!</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPWzRrKzY3pgujnyjj2v531d_2uiSGT1U8AedirB8xh6kvYm7yXXkkupIlpDBWlCk3vXXsXwGiPR-M39Hh3gZ0-wLo4EHUhLHmoz11tR5lKzhj_fOnowYVRs0kyDFL60L0Ry3F94wkJK0/s1600/DSCF0741.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" bx="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPWzRrKzY3pgujnyjj2v531d_2uiSGT1U8AedirB8xh6kvYm7yXXkkupIlpDBWlCk3vXXsXwGiPR-M39Hh3gZ0-wLo4EHUhLHmoz11tR5lKzhj_fOnowYVRs0kyDFL60L0Ry3F94wkJK0/s320/DSCF0741.JPG" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">this next one is a design by the lovely Claire Fader - there's a lot more to it than meets the eye as the photo is actually a mini book which opens up</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjbPlqQ0b1cm223wmYSgltYXnPAzEe2xtm33BfNE9WNp_XxEUSYvvvpHpmGzKhVU7xywTyCBk5Z7B_D6NDy2hdz_x_YvEf2kT0XH7Moh8UM3k3zCHADhYopACm-3zefoZx6Hk7HTROVt4/s1600/DSCF0734.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" bx="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjjbPlqQ0b1cm223wmYSgltYXnPAzEe2xtm33BfNE9WNp_XxEUSYvvvpHpmGzKhVU7xywTyCBk5Z7B_D6NDy2hdz_x_YvEf2kT0XH7Moh8UM3k3zCHADhYopACm-3zefoZx6Hk7HTROVt4/s320/DSCF0734.JPG" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">open the front cover to find.... the journalling (with the full story of why we renewed our vows where we did - remind me to tell the story on here sometime.....) and a great pic of me in my lovely dress (and don't let anyone tell you that nice wedding dresses don't come cheap - this one cost me a princely £26 on eBay - its all silk and is from Monsoon - original price was well over £200 and it had never been worn.....) it was absolutely perfect for a ceremony on a tropical beach.</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIUSskbEMcFbDebaOYWTIJKKILoZfLTbBo8Tbt64PtE5ro7vJXXdN6sXQf9NBg7CDlOEBkaFcyq3zbfKqxdIYX0pi2wGwMtEbvxFCm2wbzczvGKdOrY7NYNACPo6Pkg61oJdxPps4AjlQ/s1600/DSCF0735.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" bx="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIUSskbEMcFbDebaOYWTIJKKILoZfLTbBo8Tbt64PtE5ro7vJXXdN6sXQf9NBg7CDlOEBkaFcyq3zbfKqxdIYX0pi2wGwMtEbvxFCm2wbzczvGKdOrY7NYNACPo6Pkg61oJdxPps4AjlQ/s320/DSCF0735.JPG" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">and finally a couple of my favourite pics of the two of us.... including the must have "kiss the bride one!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />

<span style="font-family: Arial;">The flowers are leftover ones I stamped for the SU Blog Hop pages - they were too nice to chuck away....</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Here's another one from Claire.... the papers on this one are scrummy Webster's pages and I just lurrrrve that organza rose ribbon! That little block below the larger photo is actually a wee accordion book for the journalling</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG7em0LAiCFZe4FAuOdC_4VcN86za4rQ48Jzuol_kIDoSJjOtFHtnf2uHkP50GfEVOoqElmczYUd94uWSSUp0W-3BHv7pxnDsINSfpftMtCY8G6VrmEMw2zAEr3A8VTLvd5WapwWMZiLs/s1600/DSCF0740.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" bx="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhG7em0LAiCFZe4FAuOdC_4VcN86za4rQ48Jzuol_kIDoSJjOtFHtnf2uHkP50GfEVOoqElmczYUd94uWSSUp0W-3BHv7pxnDsINSfpftMtCY8G6VrmEMw2zAEr3A8VTLvd5WapwWMZiLs/s320/DSCF0740.JPG" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Finally for now - one from my monthly kit mountain - I think was one of the July kits (no- you don't ask where all the others are, thank you very much!)..... I finished it up with some flowers left over from the fun & romance page up top, and added a chopped up pearl swirl with cute little clay roses for the final touch.</span><br />
<br />

<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial;">Anyway - I'm off to make the most of the P&Q afforded by the fact that Rog is at work, and Katy is snoring gently having stayed awake all night! See you soon!</span>CarolynUKhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14172060215480735608noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3922313342882497568.post-33237854840181028302010-04-26T08:35:00.000+01:002010-04-26T08:40:16.965+01:00Cybercropped out!!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Well after a fairly short run in - the UKS Cyber crop has come and gone and I had a great weekend of scrapping. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This time round the theme was Monopoly and all the teams were the playing pieces which go round the board, and the classes and challenges were named after the streets and other things on the board. There was a pre crop challenge set by Fi (aka scrappybunny) called Officer Mallory (just in case you didn't know - that's the name of the little bewhiskered banker) and we had to scrap someone who means a lot to us using a minimum of 4 colours and 2 techniques. Here is my offering for that one. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">I chose to scrap this lovely pic of Sam who of all the family did the most to get me through my depression. He was there for me to talk to and cuddle when everyone else was at work/ school/ asleep and give me a reassuring paw when I needed it. He was the one who dragged me out on walks when all I wanted to do was hide under the duvet, and by insisting on playing with other dogs we met, and greeting their owners he made me talk to people on those walks. His love and compassion came cheap - all for the price of a few walks a few pats and regular meals!! I didn't win - but it felt good getting all that out on a layout!!</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQO4Tf3Tcqr4fED3iPkPU3KBVM9nB6775qsspnNXeK0ZOOvsV0X7lKZ3-3dm-tQ4Kz6_QLc_ifHI-vKOvMpZF7sQFeLMEwWadPtVPVRFVOOEBbsSSe6MsmQmwZg18KqwFqBB2B9KVHc58/s1600/Sam+the+man.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQO4Tf3Tcqr4fED3iPkPU3KBVM9nB6775qsspnNXeK0ZOOvsV0X7lKZ3-3dm-tQ4Kz6_QLc_ifHI-vKOvMpZF7sQFeLMEwWadPtVPVRFVOOEBbsSSe6MsmQmwZg18KqwFqBB2B9KVHc58/s320/Sam+the+man.jpg" tt="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Now each Cybercrop also does a mystery kit challenge. Each team gets a kit designed by one of the sponsor shops, and the challenge is to do your worst with it... the creativity of some of the UKS members never ceases to amaze me (as does the lack of creativity in some!!) as some of the items produced are simply stunning! The Cars team kit was put together by the lovely Lyn at Craft Emporium and I got a boxful of lush October afternoon papers, cardstock and embellies to play with. </span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This is where it helps to be a Scrapaholix organiser who has to get at least 2 pages out of each monthly kit using (as far as possible) only what is in the baggie. With this challenge, I was allowed to add extra cardstock and a few extras - and I managed to come up with 2 layouts almost straight away, with a third one following with very little effort! This one was the first page I produced.....</span></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-z5aXBn96137e4kvnJjWgsqVcQXOWw1cms91o7GCRHvA-Hhx8Z5xp2olAj-ly1xKrh23IIanPuemlB7F_yIK7HeSY4cRweHggEpIieIuboIzOt5SvpEiPbdsm4NVjFoc1K6JUY3p4nGc/s1600/80s+style.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-z5aXBn96137e4kvnJjWgsqVcQXOWw1cms91o7GCRHvA-Hhx8Z5xp2olAj-ly1xKrh23IIanPuemlB7F_yIK7HeSY4cRweHggEpIieIuboIzOt5SvpEiPbdsm4NVjFoc1K6JUY3p4nGc/s320/80s+style.jpg" tt="true" /></a></div><br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">When I was clearing out mum's house in December - I found this long forgotten photo of me at a friend's wedding back in the early 1980s. As well as smiling ruefully at my long forgotten size 12 figure... the hairdo and fashion always raise a laugh. The bright red jacket (with frightful padded shoulders and supersize lapels) floaty scarf and Charlies Angels hairdo just epitomise the decade taste forgot!!! The red was picked up in several of the papers, so this one just begged to be used. The page is based on a sketch from BasicGrey - which funnily enough was also featured in one of the challenges on Sunday morning.....</span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">This was the second page I did - back to my own clean and simple style.....</span><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg718jbMF7FEPYJB1AncqIIIh5PjsysaHt4nSlsqLGZ3wrnN_231lJrh4FcTpmIAJ1nZTgVu1ENC-7peHHADMYLsBhjrfEM16FnLpHcUEn1p8b9li7rCSzmmw3x_EKmDtSmcUrAn0oNQvo/s1600/what.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg718jbMF7FEPYJB1AncqIIIh5PjsysaHt4nSlsqLGZ3wrnN_231lJrh4FcTpmIAJ1nZTgVu1ENC-7peHHADMYLsBhjrfEM16FnLpHcUEn1p8b9li7rCSzmmw3x_EKmDtSmcUrAn0oNQvo/s320/what.jpg" tt="true" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">We could add as much black and white cardstock as we liked to the kit and with the bright papers, I took advantage of that to have a contrasting base. One of the papers featured pinwheels so I chose to make a few to embellish the page which features Katy with THAT look on her face....</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">The final page from the mystery kit was this one based on a Davinie Fiero design in an old Scrapbook Trends magazine......</span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdbbX7P-rCuOFa3N40o_KTYyo62s9xRT2H7AtypzOAxMmgS8h6sYZ5zh63tq92lYNqOzEm_IE1cf9FMPYOTH4iRB_FSV5-GPr3yXWJumQAnrGAHTjLLPHJ999HM4YUVYOKzo6MjwPwVvE/s1600/wonder+woman.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdbbX7P-rCuOFa3N40o_KTYyo62s9xRT2H7AtypzOAxMmgS8h6sYZ5zh63tq92lYNqOzEm_IE1cf9FMPYOTH4iRB_FSV5-GPr3yXWJumQAnrGAHTjLLPHJ999HM4YUVYOKzo6MjwPwVvE/s320/wonder+woman.jpg" tt="true" /></a></div><br />
This was Karen aged about 6 when we went on a last minute holiday to Scotland. Mum rang up and asked me to find somewhere in Scotland which could take a party of 6 at a week or so's notice and not cost too much! Not that easy to find something to meet that requirement at the height of the holiday season - but I managed it!! We ended up in a mobile home at a lovely site near Perth Racecourse in the grounds of Scone Palace!! It was great location for going around sightseeing, and on one day out in Dundee - we found this gorgeous Wonder Woman outfit which Karen just HAD to have... This was her posing on the bonnet of my old car (Grandad almost had a heart attack when she asked if she could jump on his shiny new Rover......)<br />
<br />
Anyway - that's all the pre-crop stuff.... I'll deal with the weekend pages in my next post - or you can always check out <a href="http://www.ukscrappers.co.uk/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&ppuser=4006&thumb=1">my gallery on UKS</a> if you want an early peek!CarolynUKhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14172060215480735608noreply@blogger.com0
